WMC Racing

WMC Racing is our most competitive track for athletes interested in pursuing ski racing at the highest level in New York State. Our race program is a structured team focused on building the foundation for ski racing and athletic excellence. Through deliberate practice and tactical coaching, athletes develop fundamental skills and racing passion in purposefully designed training environments. Our expert coaches guide athletes toward peak performance through precision technique and strategic skill development, and competition.

This program is for athletes ages 8-18 years-old (birth year 2018 – 2009) who are grouped into the following age groups that match US Ski & Snowboard’s nationwide development pathway.

Our U10 athletes focus primarily on skill acquisition and participate in races at home. They will be invited to join our U12s at NYSSRA’s state-wide Kandahar Championship Event. As our athletes progress to U12s and up, they will participate in state-wide US Ski & Snowboard-sanctioned race series that are specifically designed for each age group. All athletes competing in sanctioned events must hold valid USSS and NYSSRA licenses. Teams will travel to other areas for races throughout the season.

All participants must be at least intermediate skiers, able to make parallel turns on blue terrain, and independently load the lift to join the U10s. Participants who sign up for this program who do not meet the minimum skiing ability standards may be transferred to a different program at the discretion of the Racing Program Director.
