Good morning, skiers and snowboarders!

Hope you’ve been soaking up some of that sunshine with these longer days. It feels pretty great to have the sun on your face again, and today is no different. We’re looking at mostly sunny skies with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s, making it a true t-shirt kind of day out on the mountain.

There’s nothing quite like spring riding. Slushy turns, soft snow underfoot, and blue skies overhead make for the kind of laps where you forget what time it is and just keep going.

Lifts spinning today from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM include Wonderama Express Quad (C), Whiteway Express Quad (D), Wooly Bear Carpet (E), Westside Six (F), and East Peak Express Quad (G).

Our grooming team was out overnight laying down fresh stripes on Wraparound, Wapeka, Way to Go, Wise Acres, Wall Street, Where’s Charlie, What’s Next, Willpower, Wildcat, and Whiskey Jack to get the day started. Please be aware that several trails were not groomed. Expect changing conditions as the warm temperatures soften the snow throughout the day. Keep your eyes open for potential bare spots. It’s shaping up to be classic spring conditions, with softer turns and variable surfaces depending on where you ride.

Pro tip: if you’ve got some quick wax handy, throw it on your skis or board to help avoid those sticky spring slowdowns.

When you’re done with your laps, grab a drink from the bar, find a picnic table, and soak up that sunshine.

Grab the sunglasses, enjoy the sunshine, and we’ll see you out there!
