Good morning skiers and snowboarders! Today’s weather is working exactly how we like it: cold, dry, and fully on our side. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies, a high around 8°F, light west-northwest winds at 10–20 mph, and no precipitation in the mix. These lower temperatures are helping preserve coverage and keep 100% of terrain open, but they also mean snow surfaces will be firmer and less forgiving. It’s a great day to break out a stiffer board or skis with a solid edge and enjoy fast, confident turns.

Lifts spinning today include the Wonderama Express Quad (C), Whiteway Express Quad (D), Wooly Bear Carpet (E), Westside Six (F), East Peak Express Quad (G), Willpower Triple (K), and the Whisper Run Carpet (M). With full access across both peaks, it’s an easy day to roam, explore, and chase the best snow as the light shifts.

Our grooming team was back at it overnight, laying down fresh corduroy across a broad mix of terrain for all ability levels. Groomed trails include Whistler, Wiseacres, Warpath, Wraparound, Windfall, Wonderama, Wolverine, and all East Peak trails. Beginner favorites are also boasting smooth stripes, including What’s Next, Whiteway, Wooly Bear, Wanderer, and Where’s Charlie, setting up confident starts and clean, predictable turns.

Off the groomers, expect a more technical ride with firmer surfaces, bumps, and natural texture that rewards strong edges and a dialed-in approach. These areas are skiing best for advanced riders who enjoy engaging terrain and a little extra feedback underfoot.

Snowmaking continues on Wilbur and Why Not and will remain active through Saturday morning as the team keeps building depth and refining coverage.

With the cold temps and occasional sunshine, layering up is the move if you want to stay warm enough to squeeze in those extra sunny-day laps. Take a break to warm up in Foodhall or Seasons, then head back out while conditions stay firm and fast.
