Friday, January 23 - 7:30AM

Friday has arrived and the mountain is waking up in a really good place. We’re rolling straight into another strong day of skiing and riding with a setup that’s been delivering all week. Same groomed terrain, same lift lineup, and plenty of room to find your rhythm before the weekend energy ramps up.

Overnight, our grooming team was back out laying down fresh corduroy across the same terrain you’ve been loving. East Peak is skiing smooth top to bottom with Why Not, Win Tuck, Widgeon, Wing N’ It, World Cup, and Wapeka all groomed and ready for fast, confidence-boosting laps. Over on West Peak, the groomer list is deep, including Way to Go, Where’s Charlie, Wooly Bear, Whisper Run, What’s Next, Wilbur, Whiteway, Willpower, Upper and Lower Wraparound, Upper Wall Street, Wall Street, Warpath Chute, Upper and Lower Warpath, Upper and Lower Wiseacres, Upper and Lower Wolverine, Upper and Lower Whistler, Mini Wall Bypass, Windfall, Wonderama, Warm Up, Wedel, Wide Connection, and Upper and Lower Wipeout. If you’re looking for variety, today’s your day.

Lifts spinning today include the Wonderama Express Quad (C), Whiteway Express Quad (D), Wooly Bear Carpet (E), Westside Six (F), East Peak Express Quad (G), and Willpower Triple (K), keeping access smooth and efficient across both peaks.

Conditions start out firm and edgeable this morning, ideal for early laps, with a consistent surface through the day. Temperatures top out around 21°F with considerable cloud cover early, then some breaks later on. Winds stay out of the west at 10 to 20 mph, so layer up and you’ll be cruising comfortably.

Park riders, Lower Warpath continues to take shape and is riding great. The current setup features 3 rails, 1 jump, 6 rollers, 3 tabletop and cube features, and 1 berm, making for a fun, flowing lap whether you’re warming up or stacking tricks.

Looking ahead, Saturday is shaping up to be a very cold one. Extra layers will go a long way, along with full face coverage and a good stash of hand warmers to keep you comfortable throughout the day.

Saturday evening, we’ll shift gears with a concert featuring The Nerds, benefiting the Adaptive Sports Foundation. It’s a great way to cap off the day while supporting an incredible organization. Tickets are available online.

And as we look toward Sunday, all eyes are on a storm system moving in with the potential to deliver over a foot of fresh snow. If it comes together, we could be setting up for soft turns and a seriously exciting finish to the weekend. Stay tuned as we continue to track the forecast.

It’s one of those sneaky-good Fridays where everything lines up. Get out early, enjoy the fresh lines, and settle into that pre-weekend groove. We’ll see you out there.
