That New Year’s dusting delivered exactly what we were hoping for. The 1–2 inches of fresh snow mixed beautifully with today’s packed powder base, keeping conditions smooth, edge able, and consistent across the mountain all afternoon. Groomed runs on both peaks held their shape well, while ungroomed terrain stayed playful and wintry for those looking to mix things up.

Overnight, we will be keeping the same grooming lineup as today. This includes Whistler, Wolverine, Warpath, Wraparound, Windfall, Wooly Bear, What’s Next, Whiteway, Whiskey Jack, Wedel, and Wanderer. Wall, Why Not, Upper Wheelchair, and Upper Wall Street will remain ungroomed.

Snowmaking crews continue to focus on building coverage where it counts, with efforts underway on World Cup, Lower Wiseacres, and Wing’n It as conditions allow. The park crew will also be building out the Mini Park on Wraparound, and Wilbur will see jump features taking shape as work continues.

Another solid reset is underway as we look ahead to tomorrow. Thanks for kicking off 2026 with us. We will see you back out there soon.

Just over two hours from the concrete jungle of NYC and under an hour from Albany, Windham Mountain greets arriving visitors with Catskills comfort and big-mountain amenities. Less time in the car means more time on the slopes.

From Exit 21 on I-87/New York State Thruway, we are 23 miles on state highway Route 23W (which is a well-maintained route all year round).

GETTING HERE BY BUS

Adirondack Trailways also runs from Port Authority to the Windham bus stop. If you’re staying at the Winwood Inn and Condominiums, we‘ll send our shuttle to pick you up at the Windham bus stop.

Amtrak operates daily between NYC’s Penn Station and Hudson, NY– a 40 minute drive from Windham Mountain. Make a rental car reservation through Enterprise and they’ll meet you at the station.
