Conditions Saturday December 20 – 6:00 AM
Colder overnight temperatures helped the snow reset beautifully, creating a solid, supportive surface to start the day. Expect great early edging this morning, with conditions staying enjoyable as the snow gradually loosens up through the afternoon.
We’ll see partly cloudy skies early, giving way to a more clouded afternoon, with temperatures topping out around 33 degrees. Winds will be in the 10 to 15 mph range, adding a crisp winter feel that pairs well with steady laps and a few extra layers.
Lifts C (Wonderama Express Quad), D (Whiteway Express Quad), F (Westside Six), E (Wooly Bear Carpet), K, L, M (Whisper Run Carpet), and G (East Peak Express Quad) are scheduled to run today, offering access across the mountain.
Groomed terrain today includes: Why Not, Way to Go, Wooly Bear, Whisper Run, What’s Next, Wilbur, White Way, Upper Wraparound, Lower Wraparound, Wall Street, Upper Warpath, Lower Warpath, Upper Wiseacres, Upper Whistler, Lower Whistler, Mini Wall Bypass, the Wall, Upper Wolverine, Lower Wolverine, Wide Connection, Windfall, and Lower Wipeout. Expect a nicely refreshed surface across these trails with a solid winter feel underfoot.
In the parks, Mini Wall Bypass Park has been reduced to four features, keeping things flowing and approachable. Over at Wilbur Park, the crew is actively building and shaping in preparation for Sunday’s Ignite the Light event, with progression-focused features continuing to take shape.
Snowmaking is currently on hold due to muddy water in our reserves from yesterday’s precipitation, and we want to be sure we’re producing the best possible snow when the guns are on. Nobody wants brown snow. We promise, patience here pays off. As conditions improve, we’re planning to resume snowmaking Sunday at noon, focusing on refreshing coverage and setting the mountain up for the week ahead.
All dining options will be open today, making it easy to refuel between laps. Seasons is serving up its new Mexicana menu on the third floor, Okami is open with fresh sushi and elevated offerings, Peaks has pretzels and beer cheese ready to go, and the Waffle Hut is firing up for that classic mid-day sugar boost. Whether you’re grabbing something quick or settling in for a longer break, there’s no shortage of good stops around the mountain.
It’s shaping up to be a great day to enjoy the refreshed snow, soak in the holiday-week energy, and make the most of a classic winter day at Windham. Après kicks off at 1:00 PM on the patio, because skiing is fun, but skiing with a drink afterward is even better.
