Conditions Wednesday December 17th - 9:00 AM
Good morning Skier and snowboarders . Today feels like a bit of a gift after the cold stretch we’ve been in. Temperatures will start around 30 degrees and climb to 37 through the day, making it one of those mornings where you can finally shed a layer, wiggle your toes, and confirm they do in fact still exist now that temps are out of the teens. It’s a welcome shift that sets us up for a comfortable day on the mountain.
Our grooming team was back out overnight laying fresh lines across familiar terrain to keep everything riding consistently and smoothly. Expect a softer surface from the start today with snow that becomes more forgiving as the day goes on. Conditions are shaping up for relaxed cruising, longer laps, and a little extra time outside between runs.
We’ll be spinning the Whiteway Express Quad, the Westside Six, and the Wooly Bear Carpet today, keeping access straightforward and efficient for a solid day of skiing and riding.
Groomed terrain includes Wooly Bear, What’s Next, White Way, Upper and Lower Wraparound, Wall Street, Warpath Chute, Upper and Lower Whistler, Mini Wall Bypass, Upper and Lower Wolverine, Wide Connection, Warm Up, Windfall, Lower Wipeout, along with The Wall, which will also be freshly groomed.
Snowmaking will be dialed back today as temperatures climb, giving the system a brief breather. Colder air returns later in the week, and the team will be ready to jump back in on Friday to continue building coverage and progressing terrain.
In the Mini Wall Bypass Park, the two pill features have been pulled as they make their way over to support the upcoming Wilbur Park build. Park progress is rolling along, and more updates are coming soon.
It’s a great day to cruise, soak in the milder temps, and enjoy feeling your fingers and toes again. We’ll see you on the hill.
